I•Archive offers you access to the digital archival aerial photos in a solution that meet your individual needs. It allows you to compare geographical maps from various points in time within a unified solution.
The tool is primarily used by various authorities and private companies in handling cases related to nature, environment, and building affairs, but it can also be used for other purposes, and we make it available to the public.
You can obtain historical images as composite mosaics either through a WMS to be used in the client's of existing GIS solutions or through our modern WebGIS platform.

Customers have 24/7 access to their aerial photographs through our online server and the delivered WMS service. The images are hosted locally on I•GIS's servers, placed in Aarhus.
Acces through the browser
I•Archive offers WebGIS solution offers easy, browser-based access to a vast photo series archive, requiring no specialized GIS knowledge or software. Ideal for both occasional and experienced GIS users, this intuitive platform is designed for optimal display and simple internal sharing, catering to various organizational needs.
Stereo maps (3D)
I•Archive provides stereo mosaic technology, enabling users to observe historical elevation variations from the time of original recording. This distinctive capability is particularly useful for historical mapping of features like stone or earthen embankments, kettle holes, archaeological sites, gravel pits, and more. It provides a vivid narrative of landscape evolution from the recorded period to the present, offering unique insights into the historical shifts of e.g., sand dunes and other landscape changes.

FAQ
What is a WMS and how do I get started?
WMS stands for Web Map Services. WMS can deliver maps of spatially referenced data in the form of raster data to a client. The advantage of using WMS is that the data only resides with those who create and maintain it. In this case I•GIS.
The WMS is added as a WMS layer in your own GIS software. Use your own private URL, sent by I•GIS, and connect to the service. Depending on the GIS software used, you can now add individual layers or everything in the service to your GIS.
What is WebGIS and how do I get started?
WebGIS is maps and geodata displayed in a web browser, as opposed to a GIS application (Desktop GIS) on your own PC.
Use the sent URL in your preferred browser or click here. You will now be greeted by a WebGIS that, after login, will contain the layers associated with your private access.
Start using the service by turning on layers using the layer control in the panel on the left.
I'm having problems with tile cache
We strongly advise against using tile cache in conjunction with the service. Tile cache often leads to a perceived decrease in quality due to the misalignment of individual tiles and the potential for unintended cutting.
Solution: The best solution is to turn off tile cache completely, but it can also help just to turn it off at lower scales.
